Biography

Isabel Miranda is a founding and managing partner of Pearlman & Miranda, where her practice focuses on Trusts & Estates Law. Before founding Pearlman & Miranda, Ms. Miranda was the CEO of Heritage Family Wealth Consulting and the Managing Partner of a solo law practice. Prior to that, Ms. Miranda was the Managing Partner of the Trusts & Estates Law practice at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick & Cole. Ms. Miranda advises multi-generational families on estate planning, family governance, the administration of their estates and trusts, succession planning for their closely held businesses and charitable planning. Her peers consider her a thought leader on client centered, values-based estate planning. She is a Member of the Committee on Attorney Professionalism of the New York State Bar Association as well as a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”) Disciplinary Panel.

Before embarking on her legal career, Ms. Miranda managed the trust business at the U.S. Trust Company of New Jersey, where she was the Senior Vice President and Director, Chief Trust Officer, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chair of the Personal Administration and Investment Review Committee. Before joining U.S. Trust, Ms. Miranda was Vice President and Director of The Citibank Private Bank, where she headed the domestic personal trust business. She served as Chair of Citicorp Trust of Florida, N.A. and Citicorp Trust of California, N.A. Ms. Miranda founded Citicorp Trust South Dakota, which enhanced the corporation’s trust offering for ultra-high net worth families.

Ms. Miranda has served on many non-profit and governmental boards throughout her career, among them, Chair of the board of the University and Medicine of New Jersey, the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital board, the board of the UMDNJ Foundation, the board of Executive Women of New Jersey, the board of New Jersey Women's Political Caucus, a founding member of New Jersey Women in Public Finance and the Vice Chair of the New Jersey Congressional Redistricting Commission. She is married to Donald “Skip” Browne, and together they have four adult children and six grandchildren.
