Social Investment

When the Pearlman & Miranda founding partners started the firm, we were determined to dedicate a portion of our work to social purposes, without regard to the company’s financial needs. Over time, as clients approached us with various legal needs in this space, that charter declaration organically resulted in the Social Investment Practice Group.

Pearlman & Miranda’s social investment lawyers provide counsel for:

  • Public benefit corporations seeking general or specific societally laudable goals

  • Non-profit organizations providing for the underserved, with a focus on developing renewable solutions and job opportunities for low-and-moderate income persons and their communities

  • Investment funds looking to finance sustainability projects, particularly in LMI areas and with diverse transaction parties

  • Green bond debt financings

The Social Investment Practice Group continues to expand. There is frequently a cross pollination with our expertise in other financial practice areas, which makes Pearlman & Miranda uniquely qualified to assist with these client issues.  We embrace projects that drive innovative solutions to promote societal good. Our clients measure the highest returns not just by the financial outcome, but by the positive impact made on people and communities.
