Biography
Deborah S. Verderame is a founding partner of Pearlman & Miranda. With the assistance of Mr. Pearlman, Ms. Verderame runs the firm’s Public Finance Law practice. She has served as bond counsel and underwriter's counsel in connection with all manner of State, local government and authority transactions as well as trustee’s counsel and letter of credit bank counsel. Ms. Verderame specializes in both revenue and general obligation bond financings, having extensive experience with local improvement authority financings. Ms. Verderame has been listed in the Bond Buyer’s Municipal Marketplace Directory for approximately the last 25 years.
Ms. Verderame has been instrumental in developing the various Innovation structures that characterize her 25 year plus relationship with Mr. Pearlman. They are a consummate professional team, with Mr. Pearlman setting the vision, and Ms. Verderame establishing and carrying through with the particularized details that ensure programmatic success. Ms. Verderame has worked with Mr. Pearlman at each of their New Jersey firms, as a partner at the prior two firms.
When she first moved with her husband John and their sons John (UNC freshman) and Nick (high school senior and nationally recognized debate champion) to North Carolina 14 years ago, Ms. Verderame was a trailblazer at the State's oldest law firm becoming the first full time telecommuter at venerable McCarter & English. With today’s technology, working group members are virtually unaware that Ms. Verderame does not sit with the rest of the Pearlman & Miranda team in Bloomfield, New Jersey (though we are constantly reminded that it is always sunny and warm in North Carolina).
